Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Executive to join our team in the Projects Department. The role involves planning, organising, and executing national-level community service and engagement programmes that bring together members, stakeholders, and volunteers to bless communities across Singapore. The Executive will also be responsible for supporting various national events such as award presentations and appreciation ceremonies.
Reporting to the Department Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with volunteers, serve as secretariat to volunteer committees, and ensure that community projects offer meaningful learning outcomes for our members.
The staff will therefore need to:
- Plan, organise and execute national-level community service and engagement projects that are impactful and relevant for both our members and the community.
- Ensure that members develop skills, character, and values through active service.
- Engage and manage stakeholders including project sponsors, partner organisations, volunteer groups, and members of the public.
- Explore and propose new service avenues that are timely, relevant, and beneficial to the community.
- Organise national training courses and workshops to equip Boys and Officers with the skills for effective community service.
- Support and collaborate with volunteers and serve as secretariat to volunteer committees, ensuring efficient coordination and communication.
- Assist in the planning and execution of national-level events, including award presentations and appreciation programmes.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Administration/Business Management or related discipline. Degree holders may also be considered.
- 2–3 years of experience in community engagement, volunteer management, or programme coordination is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and report writing.
- Confident in engaging diverse groups of people – from youth members to corporate sponsors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic design or communication skills (e.g., Canva, newsletters) can be a plus.
