Perm Claims Manager - Marine & Cargo ($6500-$9000)

Job Description

• Investigate and manage marine cargo claims from notification through settlement.
• Review cargo insurance policies, terms and conditions
• Prepare clear narrative reports and recommendations to clients on policy liability.
• Identify and pursue subrogation/recovery claims against liable third parties.
• Maintain strong client relationships and develop industry relationships

Job Requirements

• Experienced in marine cargo claims, maritime law, insurance claims, loss adjusting or a related field, and able to work independently.
• Analytical, organised and confident assessing policy coverage and liability.
• A strong communicator and negotiator.
• Comfortable meeting people, networking and building relationships.
• Someone who looks for solutions and is interested in improving how the business operates.
• Experience in subrogation/recovery and third-party liability claims is an advantage.
• Relevant insurance, maritime or professional qualifications are advantageous.
