Job Summary
Serve as a Gas System Engineer, responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning and safe operation of Gas systems for semiconductor Frontend FAB facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gas System Planning
Plan and coordinate Gas supply systems, piping, equipment and related facilities. - Technical Specifications
Develop technical specifications for Gas equipment, piping, valves and control systems. - Gas Equipment Review
Review Gas Cabinets, VMBs/VMPs, gas supply equipment and related systems. - Interface Coordination
Coordinate engineering interfaces among Process, Facilities, Hook-up, I&C and Vendors. - Construction & Quality Control
Monitor Gas piping installation, welding, testing and quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. - Testing & Commissioning
Support system testing, purging, commissioning and final acceptance. - Safety & Compliance
Ensure toxic, flammable and specialty gas systems comply with EHS requirements and applicable regulations. - Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot gas supply pressure, flow rate, purity, equipment and system performance issues. - System Upgrade
Support Gas system upgrades for FAB expansion and new process requirements. - Technical Support
Provide technical assessment, risk evaluation and solutions for Gas system issues.
Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Safety Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Gas systems, semiconductor FAB, high-tech facilities or industrial utility projects.
- Hands-on experience in Gas piping, equipment installation, construction coordination, testing and commissioning.
- Experience with Gas Cabinets, VMB/VMP, Bulk Gas or Specialty Gas systems is preferred.
- Able to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, engineering drawings, layouts, isometrics and technical documents.
- Familiar with Gas piping installation, welding, leak testing, purging and system commissioning.
- Understanding of EHS requirements for toxic, flammable, high-pressure and specialty gas systems.
- Experience in Vendor coordination and resolving site engineering issues is an advantage.
- Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with Clients, contractors, Vendors and project teams.
- Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
- Willing to work in a site-based environment, including shifts or extended hours as required by the project.
- Relevant qualifications and licences must comply with applicable Singapore laws and regulatory requirements.
Working Location: Woodlands North, Singapore
Employment Type: Contract (36 months)
