Our client is an American agricultural multinational corporation headquartered in the United States. The company is one of the worlds largest producer of fruit and vegetables. They have operations in over 90 countries world-wide. They currently have an opening for an AI Agent Developer — Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot & Azure, salary between S$ 80K to S$90K per annum with other benefits.
Job Purpose :
The position is a hands-on junior AI agent delivery role based in either the Philippines or Singapore. The AI Agent Developer converts business demand into agent prototypes and production-ready agents while working within established security, data and release controls.
The AI Agent Developer will help Asia IT respond to this demand by designing, prototyping, building, testing and supporting AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform and Azure AI technologies.
This is a development-focused role with strong exposure to real business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, AI champions, business analysts, IT specialists, security teams and implementation partners to turn business problems into useful, responsible and supportable AI solutions.
The role is suitable for an early-career candidate who has a sound technical foundation, enjoys learning new technologies and can demonstrate practical projects, internships or academic work involving software development, automation, cloud services or artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities :
1. Requirements, Feasibility and Prioritisation
· Translate business needs into clear AI use cases, user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
· Support feasibility assessments and recommend whether the requirement is best addressed through:
o Microsoft 365 Copilot;
o Copilot Studio;
o Power Automate or another Power Platform service;
o an Azure or Microsoft Foundry solution; or
o conventional workflow automation.
· Help prioritize use cases according to business value, implementation effort, data readiness, risk and reusability.
· Work with the business owner to define measurable success criteria before development begins.
2. Agent Design and Build
· Build and configure agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
· Create clear agent instructions, topics, tools, knowledge sources, prompts, actions and conversation flows.
· Connect agents to approved enterprise information in SharePoint, Dataverse and other authorized sources.
· Develop workflow-enabled agents that can retrieve information, trigger approved processes or integrate with enterprise systems.
· Configure Power Automate flows, connectors and reusable backend components, and build Azure AI or Microsoft Foundry components such as prompt templates, retrieval patterns and simple APIsor scripts where a low-code agent alone cannot meet the requirement.
3. User Adoptionand Operational Support
· Create simple user guides, demonstrations, FAQs and usage instructions.
· Support business champions and pilot users during rollout.
· Collect user feedback and identify opportunities to improve usefulness and adoption.
· Investigate agent configuration issues, failed actions and knowledge-source problems.
· Monitor agreed measures for usage, response quality, reliability and business value.
Requirements :
Essential
· Education: diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, data, artificial intelligence, engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent practical technical experience.
· Experience: less than two years of relevant professional experience, gained through employment, internships, university projects, hackathons, personal projects or a technical portfolio.
· Technical foundation: a working understanding of:
o generative AI and large language models;
o prompt and agent design;
o software development principles;
o cloud services;
o data security and responsible AI.
· Programming: basic ability in at least one language, preferably Python, C# or JavaScript.
· Delivery approach: willingness to work across both low-code platforms and code-based development, and to learn new Microsoft AI capabilities as they are released.
· Communication: ability to communicate clearly in English with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred (Advantageous)
· Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform or Azure AI /Microsoft Foundry services.
· Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, connectors and version control such as Git.
· Exposure to retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge sources or enterprise data platforms such as Share Pointor Dataverse.
· Relevant Microsoft certifications, for example AI-900, PL-900, PL-100 or AZ-900.
· Experience documenting solutions, test cases or user guides for a business audience.
