Service Management Officer (Communications Systems / C2 Systems) — 1 Year Contract

## Job Description

We are seeking a Service Management Officer to support a government Authority's Service Management Office (SMO) in the governance, compliance, and operational management of critical systems and transmission network services.

You will work closely with the Authority, users, vendors, and technical teams to ensure effective service delivery, system availability, and operational readiness across Communications Systems or C2 (Command & Control) Systems.

## Key Responsibilities

- Provide governance and compliance oversight to ensure adherence to applicable standards, policies, and directives, with a focus on achieving zero audit findings

- Manage KPIs and drive successful delivery of System Management initiatives aligned with organisational objectives

- Lead Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities, including publication management, spare parts reviews, and equipment obsolescence management

- Oversee asset inventory management and lifecycle activities to ensure accurate asset accountability, availability, and sustainment

- Manage cybersecurity requirements, including vulnerability tracking, risk mitigation, patch management, and compliance monitoring

- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure system availability, reliability, and operational readiness

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with less than 3 years of relevant experience; OR

- Diploma in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience

- Preferred disciplines: Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Communications Systems), or Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology (C2 Systems)

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Good understanding of systems, governance, compliance, and service delivery

- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team in a dynamic environment
