Key Responsibilities
HR Policies & Governance
Support the development, review, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and employee handbook provisions.
Review existing policies regularly to ensure they remain practical, consistent, and aligned with business needs and applicable employment legislation.
Provide clear guidance to employees and managers on the application of HR policies and processes.
Maintain accurate policy documentation, approval records, and version control.
Support the consistent application of HR practices across teams and business units, where applicable.
Compensation, Payroll & Salary Benchmarking
Support the monthly payroll process by reviewing employee changes, payroll inputs, variable payments, deductions, and supporting records before submission.
Coordinate with relevant internal teams and external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely salary payments and statutory submissions.
Perform payroll checks, investigate discrepancies, and support timely resolution of employee payroll enquiries.
Conduct salary benchmarking and market research using reliable compensation surveys, industry data, and recruitment market information.
Analyse pay data and prepare recommendations that consider market competitiveness, internal equity, job scope, experience, and approved budgets.
Support annual salary reviews, increments, promotions, bonuses, and other compensation exercises.
Assist in developing and maintaining salary ranges, job levels, and compensation structures, where required.
Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy when handling payroll and compensation information.
Performance Management
Coordinate performance management activities, including goal setting, probation reviews, mid-year reviews, year-end evaluations, and performance calibration.
Guide employees and managers on process requirements, timelines, rating guidelines, and documentation.
Track completion, follow up with stakeholders, and prepare performance data and reports for management review.
Support performance improvement plans and other performance-related documentation in line with company policy.
Analyse performance outcomes and support their appropriate linkage to salary, bonus, promotion, and development decisions.
HR Operations & Reporting
Support employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, probation, confirmation, internal movements, promotions, and offboarding.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data, and prepare regular HR reports and analysis.
Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers on HR policies, payroll, performance, and employment matters.
Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered.
Relevant HR experience with hands-on exposure to HR policies, compensation, payroll, salary benchmarking, and performance management.
Working knowledge of applicable employment legislation, statutory requirements, and sound HR practices.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for payroll and compensation analysis.
Experience using HR information systems, payroll systems, or compensation benchmarking tools would be useful.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and managers at different levels.
Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
