Senior Sales Associate

Job Description

The Senior Sales Associate is a key selling member of the store team, responsible for strong individual sales performance, customer development and supporting less experienced team members.

The position carries greater sales and customer responsibility than a Sales Associate but does not hold final responsibility for store budgeting, rostering or overall store management.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve individual sales targets
• Deliver consistently high standards of customer service
• Build and maintain relationships with VIP and regular customers
• Develop customer appointments and proactive CRM activities
• Actively generate repeat business and new customer opportunities
• Develop strong product and brand knowledge
• Provide styling and product recommendations appropriate to individual customers
• Support new product launches, events and promotional activities
• Maintain high standards of store presentation and Visual Merchandising
• Support stock replenishment, inventory control and stock accuracy
• Assist and coach junior Sales Associates
• Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in implementing weekly sales priorities
• Share relevant customer and market feedback constructively with management
• Support day-to-day store operations when required
• Demonstrate good selling practices and act as a positive example to junior team members

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of retail sales experience
• Premium fashion, luxury, sports or lifestyle retail experience preferred
• Strong personal sales performance
• Proven customer-service skills
• Experience building regular and VIP customer relationships
• Good CRM and clienteling skills
• Strong product presentation and styling ability
• Proactive approach to selling and customer development
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and able to work independently
• Willingness to coach and support junior colleagues
• Organised and attentive to operational details
• Able to work weekends and public holidays according to roster requirements
• Fluent English; Mandarin or another relevant language is an advantage

Career Progression

High-performing Senior Sales Associates with demonstrated leadership potential may be considered for progression to Assistant Store Manager.

Diploma in Retail, Business or a related discipline is an advantage, but not essential. Relevant retail experience and demonstrated leadership capability will be given greater consideration.
