About the role
The Finance Executive is responsible for handling a full set of accounts, including financial closing, reporting, payment processing, GST submissions and audit support. The position ensures that accounting records and financial reports are accurate, complete and prepared on time, while coordinating with auditors and internal departments to support the organization's finance operations.
Key responsibilities
Independently handle a full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and inventory accounting.
Perform monthly and year-end financial closing and prepare the relevant reporting schedules.
Perform monthly bank and other account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies promptly, and ensure that account balances are accurate and supported by appropriate documentation.
Review invoices, accounting entries and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Process payments through GIRO and bank transfers.
Process staff claims and monthly petty cash reimbursements.
Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding payments.
Ensure the timely and accurate submission of quarterly GST returns and applicable withholding-tax filings.
Prepare draft financial statements and supporting schedules for statutory audits.
Liaise with external auditors and respond to audit-related queries.
Maintain proper accounting records, documentation and filing.
Prepare internal financial and management reports as required for both Singapore and Taiwan HQ.
Prepare supporting schedules and information for corporate income tax computations and liaise with tax agents and other relevant parties when required.
Support process improvements and other finance-related assignments as reasonably required.
About you
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA would be an advantage.
At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience handling a full set of accounts.
Working knowledge of Singapore accounting practices, GST requirements and applicable financial regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with close attention to accuracy and detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience using AutoCount or SAP Business One would be an advantage.
Experience in the manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
