Crewing Executive
About this job
We are looking for an experienced Crewing Executive for an established international maritime company. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day crewing operations of assigned vessels, ensuring that crew deployment, documentation and crew changes are carried out efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of relevant crewing experience within a ship management or maritime environment and possess good knowledge of STCW, MLC, Seafarers' Employment Agreements and relevant maritime regulations. He/she should have hands-on experience in crew planning and crew changes, with strong coordination and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day crewing operations and crew planning for assigned vessels.
Coordinate crew rotations, sign-on/sign-off arrangements and crew changes.
Arrange crew travel, visas, medical examinations and other pre-joining requirements.
Ensure crew qualifications and documentation comply with STCW, MLC, Flag State and company requirements.
Maintain accurate and updated crew records in the Crew Management System.
Liaise with vessels, crewing agencies and relevant stakeholders on crew requirements and deployment.
Monitor crew contracts, certificate validity and upcoming relief requirements.
Support crew-related administration, reporting and other operational matters as required.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant crewing experience, preferably within a ship management company or similar maritime environment.
Hands-on experience in crew planning, crew changes, crew documentation and seafarer deployment.
Good knowledge of STCW, MLC, Seafarers' Employment Agreements and relevant Flag State/maritime regulations.
Familiarity with crew management systems would be advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with seafarers, vessels and external stakeholders.
Able to work independently and manage multiple time-sensitive crew movements.
