Job Objectives
To assist the ATP Director to effectively lead the manufacturing teams in Assembly & Test operations in a manner to achieve maximum production and operating efficiencies in terms of safety, cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordinating the workload,
- Ensure quality of the work meet or exceeds all standards of the organization. Maintains a general awareness amongst staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality.
- Responsible for the overall supervision, accountability and direction of all directly and indirectly reporting
- Maximize the level of output of the manufacturing department by ensuring operating costs of the department are minimized through a lean manufacturing environment.
- Ensure that ATP staffs follows the safety regulations, that all employees receive proper training. He is responsible for the health and safety.
- Support production from a technical perspective (internal & outsource)
- Develop and maintain all standard manufacturing processes relating to process development, equipment design, change management and process.
- Execute lean initiatives and drives world-class manufacturing processes.
- Applies statistical methods including design of experiments to estimate future manufacturing requirements, improvements, and potential. Develop process flow, control plans, and FMEA.
- Employ problem solving techniques, such as 8D and other root cause analysis techniques.
- Drive Root Cause and Corrective Action. Create, analyze and drive operational performance metrics.
- Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity, reduce cost and improve quality.
- Support the goals of the manufacturing operations, including on-time delivery, machine availability (up-time), and cost containment.
- Actively support the Quality System, including investigation and resolution of CAPAs and NCMRs.
Qualification Guidelines
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or Science (including Physics or Mathematics)
Minimum Experience
Minimum 4 years’ experience in manufacturing with extensive experience in operations management, industrial management or similar discipline in the field of electronics testing, assembly, photonics, semiconductors, telecommunications, company with similar or larger size and market capitalization.
Specific Knowledge / Skills
- Ability to provide leadership and innovation at all levels of the organization utilizing differing styles of management; from directive, to coaching and support, through delegation, as the situation arises ·
- Change management and conflict management skills ·
- Knowledgeable with Lean Production principles and practices ·
- Proven ability to change shop floor layout to Lean environment
