As a member of the Strategic Planning and Policy team, youwill play a key role in shaping Singapore’s national plans to build the countryas a global hub for intangible assets (IA) and intellectual property (IP). Youwill contribute to the development and implementation of policies andinitiatives that help creators, innovators and enterprises unlock the value oftheir IA and IP for business growth. A key focus of the role will be on marketenablers such as tax, finance, IA valuation and disclosure, and how these cansupport the commercialisation and growth of IA/IP-rich enterprises. You willwork closely with local and international stakeholders, including governmentagencies, industry partners, IP practitioners, innovators and enterprises, tostrengthen Singapore’s IA/IP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the implementation of the Singapore IP Strategy 2030
Contribute to whole-of-government efforts to strengthen Singapore’s innovation and IP ecosystem, including participating in and supporting cross-agency workstreams and initiatives.
2. Drive stakeholder engagement and ecosystem development
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to develop and advance initiatives that enable enterprises to better leverage IA/IP for business growth and market expansion.
3. Develop initiatives relating to IA/IP market enablers
Plan and implement projects, engagements and events to build awareness and encourage adoption of market enablers and tools relating to areas such as IA disclosure, valuation, taxation and financing.
4. Foster international collaboration and thought leadership

Lead IPOS’ international engagement and thought leadership efforts in the areas of intellectual propertycommercialisation, valuation, financing and related taxation policy.
5. Support policy formulation and reviews
Undertake policy research and analysis, industry consultations and horizon scanning to identify emerging developments and inform the formulation and review of IA/IP-related policies and initiatives.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Typically 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in areas such as taxation, finance, innovation, intellectual property, consulting or public policy.
    • Good understanding of international taxation and/or financial markets, with experience in tax or finance-related roles being an advantage.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into practical policy or programme recommendations.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Good project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams, agencies and external stakeholders.
