Job Description

  • Manage procurement and purchase of equipment, materials, and services that comply with project agreed specifications and requirements.
  • Co-ordinate between suppliers and internal departments/project teams to ensure specifications are met and in compliance with client requirements.
  • Responsible to source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, prices, terms, deliveries, and services with suppliers and/or subcontractors locally and overseas
  • Source new suppliers, monitors vendor performance and quality, meet specific technical specification and maintain a current database of vendor information
  • Improves processes by advising on sourcing strategies and improvement changes to ensure timely delivery on projects.
  • Manage supply chain data for relevant decision making at top management level
  • Evaluate technical data and coordinate with various vendors to quote and supply products according to specifications and develop, maintain professional relationships with all vendors to design optimal pricing for all products
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues
  • Identify savings and inefficiencies as well as cost optimization opportunities within Logistics Operations (both outbound and inbound) by removing waste or/and unnecessary steps in the logistics process
  • Overseeing Procurement team
  • Prepare monthly procurement reports

Skills & Qualification

  • Minimum Degree in Engineering / Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 5 years experiences in a similar capacity
  • Good negotiation Skill, Management and Leadership Quality and self-motivated
  • Contract management experience to draft, review and assess terms and conditions and hold parties accountable
  • Ability to clearly define objectives, identify tasks and work assignments, give direction, and make decisions based upon applied knowledge of alternatives and work experience
  • Candidate with experience in purchasing of engineering or equipment/machinery parts would be advantage
  • In depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
