Senior Desktop / Systems Engineer

Our banking client is seeking an experienced SeniorDesktop / Systems Engineer to provide high‑performance end‑user, systems,and trading‑floor support. This role is critical in ensuring stability, speed,and reliability across front‑office environments, where low latency, rapidissue resolution, and strong stakeholder communication are essential.

You will work closely with traders, quants, operations, andtechnology teams to maintain a seamless trading environment, manageescalations, and drive continuous improvements across desktop, systems, andinfrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on desktop, systems for banking users
• Perform incident management, root‑cause analysis, and timely escalation for critical issues.
• Ensure high availability of desktop and systems infrastructure across trading desks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, market data, and application teams to deliver stable and secure environments.
• Support patching, upgrades, deployments, and configuration management.
• Uphold compliance, security, and audit requirements within a regulated banking environment.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in desktop engineering, systems engineering, or end‑user support within banking or financial markets.

· Good working knowledge of Active Directory,Group Policy and user administration

· Experience supporting Exchange Online, Teams andSharePoint

· Ability to troubleshoot desktop, laptop, mobiledevice and peripheral issues

· Good understanding of networking fundamentalsincluding TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and Wi‑Fi

• Ability to troubleshoot complex, time‑sensitive issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management across front‑office and technology teams.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive, service‑oriented approach.
