Site Engineer (Civil / Tunnelling & Deep Excavation)

A leading international construction and engineering group is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join its Singapore project team.

This is a site-based role supporting major civil and infrastructure construction works, with strong exposure to deep excavation, diaphragm wall, bored piling and tunnelling activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day site construction activities, ensuring works are carried out according to approved programmes, specifications and project requirements.
• Plan and monitor site progress against the master programme and detailed work schedules, escalating delays and coordinating recovery actions where required.
• Coordinate with Professional Engineers, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams on temporary works, technical matters and site execution.
• Provide technical support in resolving construction and engineering issues, ensuring problems are addressed efficiently to minimise impact on progress.
• Supervise supervisors and site teams, providing guidance on construction methods, work sequencing and daily site activities.
• Monitor workmanship and conduct regular site inspections to ensure required quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Prepare and review relevant site documentation, including reports, method statements and other technical submissions.
• Manage and monitor site manpower and work activities, ensuring the work area remains safe, organised and properly controlled.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience with a Main Contractor.
• Direct experience in diaphragm wall (D-wall), bored piling and tunnelling works is required.
• Experience working on large-scale civil infrastructure or LTA projects will be highly relevant.
• Strong understanding of site execution, construction sequencing, technical coordination and site supervision.
• Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, Professional Engineers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Candidate must be open for 6 working days work at site.
