Job Summary
The engineer will join the Platform Services team to support and enhance cloud and container platforms, ensuring global production service reliability and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support global production service operations within Platform Services to maintain service continuity
- Ensure overall reliability, availability, and stability of services within the defined technical scope
- Provide expert technical support for managed workloads by analyzing and resolving incidents, problems, service requests, and managing change processes
- Collaborate with development, project, and business teams to gather requirements, clarify technical specifications, and contribute to project deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement in production environments through automation, manual optimization, and performance hygiene practices
- Perform technical analysis of production platforms to identify and remediate performance issues proactively
- Build and maintain effective cross-team relationships to achieve shared objectives
- Engage in DevOps practices including CI/CD, Continuous Testing, Continuous Monitoring, and Continuous Compliance to enhance delivery pipelines
- Operate and enhance middleware platforms and their associated interfaces to support business needs
- Develop self-service interfaces and workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Take ownership of specialist responsibilities in strategic projects and initiatives to drive innovation and service excellence
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 5 to 8 years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Terraform
- Proficiency with container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Java, Unix Shell, Bash, Python, and PowerShell
- Experience with middleware technologies including Websphere, JBoss, Wildfly, Tomcat, Apache, and Kafka
- Good understanding of ITIL Service Management framework, including Incident, Problem, and Change management processes
- Knowledge of LLMs and AI architecture patterns such as RAG, Agentic, and MCP
- Experience with technical platforms like Jenkins, Ansible, Elastic Search, Rundeck, and GIT
- Familiarity with monitoring and data analytics tools such as Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, and Geneos
- Ability to work shifts and participate in on-call support rotations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and logical reasoning skills
- Customer service oriented with a collaborative team-player mindset
