As a keymember of the Finance and Risk team, the Finance Executive will provideprofessional support across a broad range of finance functions, includingaccounting operations, settlements, trade finance, tax reporting, andregulatory compliance. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financialreporting, timely processing of transactions, and adherence to statutory andinternal controls. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, andcapable of working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
KeyResponsibilities
1.Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial databases.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reviews.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules in accordance with accounting standards.
- Perform account reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, trading platforms) and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and submit Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in compliance with local tax regulations.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
2.Compliance & KYC
- Support the onboarding process by conducting KYC checks and maintaining customer due diligence records.
- Ensure that compliance documentation is complete, accurate, and regularly updated.
3. Settlement Operations
- Prepare and process vendor and customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Generate and review statements of accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Execute payments and ensure accurate recording of all cash and bank transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile daily bank activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of settlements.
6.General & Ad Hoc Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to the finance team as needed.
- Participate in system improvements, audits, or project-based work as assigned.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support day-to-day finance activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or trade operations.
- Experience in handling Letters of Credit and familiarity with trade finance documentation is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
