Solutions Manager – Trade & Supply Chain Finance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Solutions Manager with hands-on experience structuring and delivering trade and supply-chain financing solutions.

You will work directly with corporate clients to understand their working-capital needs and translate these into practical financing programmes. The role covers the full transaction lifecycle—from initial client discussions and solution design through to credit assessment, funding coordination and implementation.

This opportunity suits a trade-finance professional who enjoys combining client advisory with technical structuring and taking ownership of transactions across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory and Financing Solutions

• Understand clients’ business models, trade flows and working-capital requirements to identify suitable financing solutions.

• Structure programmes across receivables finance, payables finance, factoring and invoice financing.

• Prepare and present proposals that clearly explain the financing structure, commercial terms, risks and implementation requirements.

• Work with sales and relationship-management colleagues to assess opportunities and develop solutions for new and existing clients.

Deal Structuring and Execution

• Drive transactions from initial assessment through to approval, documentation, onboarding and implementation.

• Conduct financial analysis and client due diligence, working with risk teams on credit assessment and transaction risks.

• Coordinate commercial discussions and funding arrangements with relevant internal teams and financing partners.

• Work with legal, compliance and operations colleagues to address documentation and execution requirements.

• Collaborate with product and technology teams to translate financing structures into workable operational processes and platform requirements.

Relationship and Product Development

• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, funding partners and platform partners.

• Track deal progress, resolve execution issues and follow through on programme implementation and utilisation.

• Identify opportunities to expand existing financing relationships and support revenue growth.

• Use client feedback and transaction experience to improve financing propositions and the client journey.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in banking or financial services, with substantive experience in trade finance, receivables finance or supply-chain finance.

• Demonstrated experience personally structuring and delivering financing transactions, including developing the financing structure and coordinating approval and implementation.

• Practical knowledge of receivables or payables financing, factoring or invoice financing, with the ability to explain how these solutions address clients’ working-capital needs.

• Strong financial-analysis skills and an understanding of credit and transaction risks.

• Experience engaging corporate clients, presenting financing proposals and discussing commercial terms.

• Ability to work across sales, risk, legal, compliance, operations and technology teams to bring transactions to completion.

• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.

Relevant backgrounds include trade-finance solution structuring, specialist trade-finance sales, and trade or supply-chain finance product roles with direct transaction-execution experience.
