Job Summary
As a Job Coach, you will deliver outcome-focused employment services to clients with mental health conditions, guiding them from assessment to sustained employment while building strong client and employer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, high-quality employment services to clients with mental health conditions, aligned with Ingeus’ core values
- Build professional rapport with clients through face-to-face initial appointments and ongoing engagement using diverse methods
- Manage a caseload of clients at varying work readiness levels, tailoring approaches and scheduling to optimize client outcomes
- Work in a performance-driven environment to meet realistic placement targets using creativity, tenacity, and passion
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to evaluate clients’ job readiness and determine appropriate support levels
- Provide intensive one-on-one job search support to clients
- Collaborate with clients on job search and job matching using multiple sources and techniques
- Assist clients in preparing high-standard resumes and cover letters following best practices
- Coach and prepare clients for job interviews to improve success rates
- Support clients through six months of employment with regular check-ins or visits to ensure job retention
- Maintain effective relationships with internal teams including administrative and employer servicing units
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely, and respectful client documentation
- Build and sustain rapport with employers interested in hiring and supporting persons with mental health conditions
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting people with mental health conditions
- Proficiency in English and additional language skills (Malay, Mandarin, Chinese dialects, or Tamil) to facilitate client communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems/software
- Experience in customer-facing or case management roles
- Proven ability to set and achieve targets across multiple KPIs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills adaptable to diverse communication and learning styles
- Strong interpersonal skills including rapport building, active listening, and influencing to maintain effective relationships
- Effective time management for self and client appointments
- Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop professionally
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting people with mental health conditions
