Job Summary

We seek an experienced ICT / Telecommunications Technical Lead with 15+ years in telecommunications infrastructure design and project delivery for mission-critical facilities. You will lead technical design and integration for data center and critical infrastructure projects across APAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize telecommunications infrastructure designs, including single-line diagrams and rack/cable tray layouts, collaborating with internal engineers and architects
• Lead design of scalable, reliable telecommunications infrastructure for mission-critical facilities
• Serve as primary ICT and telecommunications technical representative liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Security, Operations) to integrate telecommunications with building systems
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on telecommunications, networking, structured cabling, security, controls, and low-voltage systems
• Conduct design reviews for ICT, telecommunications, networking, security, and controls to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices
• Review and provide technical feedback on designs, specifications, drawings, reports, and development plans for telecommunications and related systems
• Evaluate design solutions for compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and industry codes
• Review construction drawings, technical submissions, shop drawings, and installation details for ICT and telecommunications scopes
• Support best practices development for converged networks integrating mechanical, electrical, controls, security, and telecommunications systems
• Ensure integration and coordination of ICT infrastructure with building systems to optimize reliability and maintainability
• Facilitate communication and coordination among multidisciplinary teams to align project goals, schedules, and deliverables
• Identify and mitigate design, coordination, integration, and construction risks early with practical recommendations
• Provide engineering recommendations to resolve complex telecommunications and network infrastructure challenges
• Assess network architectures, telecommunications pathways, rack layouts, cable containment, fiber distribution, and equipment integration requirements
• Act as escalation point for design modifications due to regulatory, site, or operational constraints, ensuring compliance with global standards
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to meet project objectives and quality standards
• Support technical reviews and design studies to identify standardization, optimization, and value engineering opportunities
• Contribute to Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, design guidelines, and review procedures
• Escalate critical design and construction issues impacting scope, cost, quality, safety, or schedule and support timely resolution
• Maintain records of design changes, technical issues, decisions, and risks, assessing impacts on delivery and operations
• Ensure timely review, closure, and documentation of project deliverables, comments, and engineering actions
• Support project documentation management including revision control and deliverable tracking

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Minimum 15 years of experience in ICT, telecommunications, networking, low-voltage systems, or critical infrastructure project delivery
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber optic networks, network architecture, data center connectivity, and communications systems
• Experience designing, reviewing, and integrating ICT, security, controls, and networking systems in complex or mission-critical facilities
• Proficiency with design and coordination software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Visio
• Familiarity with industry standards including TIA, BICSI, ISO, IEC, and telecommunications/networking frameworks
• Excellent project management, analytical, problem-solving, and technical review skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project teams

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), BICSI certification, CCNP, CCIE, RCDD, or equivalent professional accreditation
• Experience supporting large-scale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or major infrastructure developments
• Strong understanding of converged network architectures supporting building management systems, operational technology (OT), controls, security, and enterprise IT infrastructure
