Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

This role involves applying electrical, electronics, and computer engineering skills to support network design, data communication, and project management tasks, utilizing measuring equipment and software tools to ensure effective network operations.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of electrical, electronics, or computer engineering principles to support network design and implementation.
• Analyze and troubleshoot network protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP/IP to optimize data communication performance.
• Radio Communication (RF and related) and transmission channels to support system connectivity.
• Operate and interpret results from measuring equipment including network analyzers, serial protocol analyzers, and oscilloscopes to diagnose network issues.
• Use network software tools such as Wireshark and network analyzers to monitor and analyze network traffic.
• Manage and maintain operating platforms including Microsoft Windows and Linux to support network operations.
• Understand and apply Local Area Network (LAN) concepts to ensure efficient network infrastructure.
• Employ project management skills to coordinate tasks and support project delivery within the network engineering domain.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a similar field; fresh graduates may also be considered.
• Experience with network design and networking exposure.
• Knowledge of data communication protocols and radio frequency (RF) transmission channels.
• Proficiency in operating measuring equipment and network software tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating platforms.
• Understanding of Local Area Network concepts.
• Knowledge of project management skills.
• Possess Class 3/3A driving license is an added advantage
• Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents preferred, subject to clearance on a case-by-case basis.
