Job Description
1. Oversee all bunkering operations, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and delivery.
2. Plan the Company fleet of bunker vessels scheduled for loading, bunkering and Ship-to-Ship transfer operations (STS).
3. Monitor fuel quality and quantity, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
4. Liaise with the respective terminals or supplier representatives and comply to all the loading requirements.
5. Evaluate purchase agreements to ensure alignment with commercial terms and to safeguard the company's best interests. Provide bunker fuel details for loading, bunkering and STS to the cargo custody officers.
6. Initiate and manage all bunker operations related continuous improvement projects.
7. Lead, manage, and support the operations department, including Cargo Officers, and other relevant staff.
8. Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
9. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
10. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and reduce operational costs.
11. Manage the operations budget, ensuring financial discipline and accountability.
12. Implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
13. Lead digital transformation initiatives within the operations department.
14. Review company’s operation procedure and ensure compliance with all regulations (SS648, QMBS etc)
15. Review and improve operations workflow efficiency and process (dissemination of job orders to Cargo Officers)
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the maritime or bunkering industry.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledgeable in marine industry especially bunkering related
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Candidates with cargo blending operation will be favourably considered, but not a requirement
