AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer / Principal AI Engineer - Global Tech Firm

We're partnering with a NYSE-listed global technology company to grow an AI engineering team building the next generation of intelligent capabilities for one of its flagship enterprise products.

This isn't a research role. You'll be building and shipping production-grade AI systems that solve real customer problems at scale.

We're hiring across multiple seniority levels, from AI Engineer through to Principal Engineer.

What you'll be building

You'll work on modern LLM-powered products including:

• Autonomous AI agents
• Multi-agent orchestration
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Intelligent search and knowledge retrieval
• AI copilots
• Workflow automation
• Tool / function calling
• LLM evaluation and observability
• Production inference and optimisation

You'll partner closely with Product, Platform and Infrastructure teams to take AI features from concept to production.

What you'll do

• Design, build and deploy production AI applications powered by LLMs
• Develop agentic workflows using modern orchestration frameworks
• Build scalable RAG pipelines and knowledge retrieval systems
• Integrate tool calling and external systems into AI workflows
• Design evaluation frameworks to measure quality, latency and reliability
• Optimise prompts, models and inference pipelines for production performance
• Collaborate across engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable AI capabilities

What we're looking for

We're open to different levels of experience provided you've built real AI products.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• Python (preferred), Java or Go
• LLM application development
• RAG pipelines
• Agentic AI / AI agents
• Prompt engineering
• Embeddings and vector databases
• LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar orchestration frameworks
• Shipping production software with strong engineering fundamentals

Level expectations

AI Engineer

• Experience building AI/ML applications through work, internships or strong personal projects
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Passion for building production AI systems

Senior AI Engineer

• Experience shipping production AI or ML products
• Able to independently own technical delivery
• Comfortable designing scalable AI architectures

Principal AI Engineer

• Proven track record leading large-scale AI initiatives
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and production AI
• Drives technical direction across multiple teams
