[URGENT] Trade Compliance & Legal Contract Officer

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal and compliance support across the organisation.

• Review, draft, and administer legal documents, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), commercial agreements, and other business contracts, while maintaining proper contract records.

• Coordinate the management and resolution of legal disputes with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.

• Oversee corporate compliance programmes, including anti-bribery and competition (antitrust) compliance, and deliver regular compliance training to employees and affiliates across Southeast Asia.

• Serve as the Personal Data Protection (PDPA) lead by ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting periodic compliance assessments, and implementing measures to address data protection risks.

• Support the implementation and management of export control and security trade compliance programmes across the Southeast Asia region.

• Manage end-user screening, verification processes, and follow-up actions for restricted or high-risk transactions.

• Administer export control activities within SAP, including material creation, product classification, extensions, manufacturer confirmations, and export licence releases in accordance with Headquarters' approval requirements.

• Liaise with the Headquarters Legal and Export Control team to obtain guidance and approvals for transactions involving restricted countries or military-related entities.

• Deliver export control training and communicate regulatory updates to employees, particularly the sales team, to ensure compliant business practices.

• Prepare and submit annual export control and sales reports to Headquarters

• Participate in regional and global Export Control meetings as required.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Law, International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 - 5 years' experience in trade compliance, customs compliance, export control, or international trade regulations role.

• Good understanding of geopolitical developments and their impact on global trade and regulatory compliance.
