Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Grants & Projects Management)
About this job
This position is part of our Grants and Project Management team, providing a blend of operational and scientific support. It involves contributing to a diverse portfolio of grants and projects, tracking their scientific and operational health, while supporting the refinement of internal administrative workflows and reporting templates.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the grant and project proposal process, including developing and finalising scientific proposals, preparing presentation materials, and drafting, reviewing and finalising research-related agreements.
- Administration of active projects and grants by developing reporting templates, tracking budgets against actual, processing variation requests, monitoring milestones, and supporting the submission of progress reports, closing updates and final reports.
- Liaise with the internal and external stakeholders for all grants and projects related matters.
- Consolidate, analyse and synthesize grants and projects data into timely and insightful updates or reports for Management, HODs, and auditors etc.
- Support the financial administration of the institute’s grants.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Recognized Degree in a science discipline. We value candidates who can navigate both the technical and operational aspects of R&D.
- At least 2 years of experience in research administration, technology transfer, or scientific project management.
- Basic understanding of research-related agreements and grant funding processes, and an interest in learning thereof.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in developing high-quality presentation slides and formulating spreadsheets is an advantage.
- Good organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering results.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
