Role Description
Thisis a full-time hybrid role based in Singapore for an Assistant Manager, Events& Communications. The role is mainly responsible for leading and executingThe Institute of Internal Auditors Singapore’s flagship conferences and events.In doing so, you play an important role in positioning the Institute as thepartner of choice for the internal audit profession.
- Lead the planning andexecution of conferences, webinars, and other events (both physical andvirtual), ensuring smooth delivery from concept through to post event review
- Support sponsorshipefforts, including identifying opportunities, preparing sponsorship materials,and working with sponsors on deliverables and fulfilment
- Develop and manageevent marketing collateral such as brochures, sponsorship decks, and eDMs
- Support the preparation and coordination ofcommunications materials across email, website, and social media channels
- Work closely withinternal teams to ensure alignment of messaging and outreach efforts
- Maintain and updatewebsite and digital platforms to ensure content is current and engaging
- Track event budgets,monitor expenditures, and support basic financial reporting for events
- Provide support onother projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in event management or a related role
- Strong experience managing end-to-end event execution, including working with vendors, venues, and sponsors
- Comfortable working on both physical and virtual event formats
- Basic understanding of website content management, HTML knowledge is a plus but not essential
- Proficient in MS Office, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or design tools is an advantage
- Comfortable using social media and engaging in online community building
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for clarity and detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and respond well in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, organised, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership
