Project Engineer(ACMV)

Our client is a contractor in the construction industry and they have a few openings for the Project Engineer (ACMV) position

You will lead the execution of industrial and commercial mechanical engineering projects. The role focuses on interpreting contract specifications, performing essential technical calculations, coordinating on-site trade installations, and supporting the final commissioning phase to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Calculations: Perform critical ACMV performance and static pressure calculations. Conduct technical sizing and selection for ducting, kitchen hoods, exhaust systems, and staircase pressurization.

• Project Documentation: Interpret contract specifications, drawings, and client requirements. Prepare method statements, shop drawings, inspection checklists, and final as-built drawings.

• Commercial Support: Prepare technical submissions for Variation Orders (VOs), damage claims, and abortive works to secure approvals.

• On-Site Coordination: Coordinate installation activities seamlessly across architectural, electrical, and plumbing trades.

• Testing & Commissioning: Assist in testing, balancing, and commissioning (T&C) activities to verify overall system performance and compliance.

Requirements

• Education: ITE, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience: Proven track record in managing ACMV projects specifically for industrial or commercial applications.
• Technical Skills: Core expertise in static calculation and ducting sizing.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and cross-trade management skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
