Part-Time Café Crew

We're looking for friendly, hands-on part-time crew to join our small café team.

This role is great for someone who enjoys café culture, food, coffee, bakes, and working in a cozy environment. You do not need to know everything from the start, we are happy to train the right person.

You will get to learn different parts of café operations, from making sandwiches and drinks to helping with desserts, bakes, prep work, and daily service.

What You’ll Learn

Depending on your training and shift needs, you may get to learn:

• Sandwich preparation and assembly
• Café drink and basic barista support
• Dessert preparation
• Focaccia and bread production support
• Kitchen prep work
• Food display and packing
• Service flow during café operations
• Basic stock organisation and hygiene standards

What You’ll Help With

As part of a small café team, everyone helps where needed. Your duties may include:

• Preparing ingredients and simple food items
• Assembling sandwiches and café food
• Supporting drink preparation during service
• Helping with desserts, bakes, and focaccia production
• Packing orders and setting up displays
• Washing dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment
• Keeping workstations, dining areas, and the kitchen clean
• Assisting with opening, closing, and general café duties
• Supporting other reasonable café-related tasks assigned by the manager or owner

• Hands-on and not afraid of kitchen work
• Able to follow instructions
• Friendly and respectful to teammates and guests
• Comfortable helping across different café stations
• Able to work weekends or selected weekdays
• Interested in food, coffee, bakes, or café operations

Prior café or kitchen experience is a bonus, but not compulsory.

Important Role Scope

This is a cross-trained café and kitchen crew role. You may be trained and scheduled across different areas such as front kitchen, back kitchen prep, barista support, sandwich making, dessert preparation, bread production support, cleaning, and dishwashing.

As romme is a small café, all team members are expected to help where needed to keep daily operations smooth.
