Research Engineer - R&D (One North / ASAP)

The Opportunity

• Opportunity to work in R&D organisation
• Seeking for Research Engineer
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6pm
• Nearest MRT: One North
• 12 month contract (renewable/convertible)
• Completion Bonus + 1 month Variable Bonus

The Talent

• Bachelor/Master in Physics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Microelectronics or industrial
• Experience in optical instrument design, prototyping and development
• Proficient in programming skills (python) for data analysis and experiment control
• Interest in solid-state spin sensing techniques
• Excellent with optical simulation and design principles
• Hands-on knowledge of optical components
• Understanding of optical spectroscopy and microscopy applications

The Job

• Understand to connect tiny magnetic spin in solid materials with ultra-sensitive mechanical devices
• Creating new tools for measuring and controlling physical processes with extraordinary accuracy
• Designing and build optical microscopy system
• Conduct analysis of the system performance and tolerances
• Conduct system design, automate system operation
• Evaluate new use cases and develop system design requirements
