Draftperson (Engineering)

Job Summary

This role requires a highly self-motivated and organized individual to prepare detailed engineering drawings, collaborate with project teams and clients, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations throughout the drafting process.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical 2D and 3D drawings including part drawings, assembly drawings, combined services drawings, and shopfloor drawings to support engineering design
• Collaborate effectively with project teams, suppliers, and clients to revise and amend drawings based on project requirements
• Ensure all drawing creation, amendments, transmittals, recording, and disposal comply with statutory regulations and company standards
• Maintain detailed documentation by organizing and managing electronic and hard copy files, ensuring version control and tracking revisions and updates to drawings
• Conduct site surveys to take precise measurements and translate these into detailed drawings for project use
• Prepare necessary design calculations to support engineering drawings and project specifications
• Assist project teams with project planning and deployment activities to ensure smooth execution of drafting tasks
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to support project and team objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in Inventor and Autodesk Revit for producing technical drawings
• Ability to communicate and write effectively in English

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Projects to enhance drafting and project management efficiency
• Experience in project management to support planning and deployment activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail
• 1 year of relevant working experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
