Field Service Technician – Onsite Calibration

Job Summary
The Field Service Technician will perform calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services at customers’ premises. The position requires regular interaction with customers and the ability to complete technical service assignments independently while maintaining accurate service documentation.
Responsibilities
Travel to customers’ premises to perform onsite calibration of laboratory testing and measuring equipment.
Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and parts breakdown diagrams.
Disassemble equipment and repair or replace defective components when required.
Verify equipment functionality and accuracy upon completion of calibration or repair work.
Prepare and maintain accurate service records, calibration reports, and certificates.
Communicate service findings, equipment conditions, and recommended corrective actions clearly to customers.
Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules, equipment availability, and onsite requirements.
Ensure all necessary tools, spare parts, and calibration equipment are prepared before attending service assignments.
Follow customers’ site safety, security, and operational procedures.
Provide professional and responsive technical support to maintain positive customer relationships.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Requirements
ITE, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Candidates with qualifications in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Precision Engineering are preferred.
Prior experience in field service, equipment calibration, maintenance, or troubleshooting would be an advantage.
Able to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and diagrams.
Possess good troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently at customers’ premises and manage service assignments responsibly.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Willing to travel to different customer locations as required.
