Compliance KYC/ Credit Risk Officer (Corporate)

Job Description:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), sanctions, and maritime trade regulations.
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) assessments for both prospective and existing clients.
- Monitor customer transactions to identify suspicious activities and escalate potential compliance risks when necessary.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes by maintaining accurate, complete, and up-to-date compliance documentation.
- Stay informed of regulatory developments and assess their impact on marine fuel trading operations.
- Perform credit assessments for new customers through financial statement analysis and risk evaluation.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate credit limits and payment terms based on risk assessments while continuously monitoring counterparty exposure in dynamic market conditions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and proactively identify overdue balances or potential credit default risks.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve payment delays and recover outstanding receivables.
- Work closely with the Finance and Trading teams to manage credit exposure while supporting commercial business objectives.
- Prepare and issue daily credit reports to the Trading Department prior to the commencement of trading activities.
- Provide timely reporting of compliance issues, policy breaches, and emerging credit risks.
- Recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies to minimise financial and regulatory exposure.
- Conduct periodic reviews of existing customers and classify counterparties according to their risk profile (high, medium, or low risk).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with audit standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support basic trade finance activities, including the issuance of Letters of Credit (LCs) and processing payments under LC arrangements.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Finance, Accounting or any related fields.
Minimum 3 years of credit risk and compliance experience.
