HR Operations - Payroll (6 months Direct Contract)

Job Summary
The HR Specialist will support the HR Operations team in managing daily operational processes and enhancing HR systems across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
This role offers exposure to HR operations, payroll and project management, providing hands-on experience in end-to-end employee lifecycle processes within a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
Support onboarding and offboarding administration, including work pass applications and renewals, insurance enrolment and employee record creation.
Administer employee lifecycle activities, including employee data updates, employment certification letters, Incentive Plan letters and insurance plan renewals.
Compile and prepare data for annual reporting, salary surveys, government surveys and headcount reports.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR data is updated promptly across relevant systems.
Provide day-to-day HR administrative support and assist with ad-hoc activities as required.
Coordinate with regional HR teams, retail employees and external vendors to address operational matters.
Payroll Support
Provide headcount and employee data required for sales commission calculations.
Maintain payroll data across HR and payroll systems to ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability.
Support end-to-end monthly payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
Assist with payroll data validation, reconciliation and issue resolution.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure payroll inputs are submitted within established timelines.
HR Systems and Project Management
Participate in HR system implementation and enhancement projects.
Support the design and implementation of new HR workflows, including digital onboarding processes for new employees.
Assist with system integration activities, such as integrating attendance and leave data with the payroll system.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document test results and coordinate issue resolution with relevant stakeholders and implementation partners.
Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, user guides and process documentation.
Support system rollouts and facilitate user adoption across different markets.
Identify opportunities to improve or automate HR operational processes.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
At least one year of relevant experience in HR operations, payroll or a related HR function.
At least one year of experience supporting HR system implementation or enhancement projects.
Experience supporting payroll processing, preferably within a multi-country environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with User Acceptance Testing, system integration or HR process documentation would be advantageous.
Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Self-organised, disciplined and able to manage multiple priorities.
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
