Manufacturing Planner
About this job
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-driven Production Planner to keep our production schedule running on time and on target. You'll turn customer orders and forecasts into concrete production plans, keep our ERP system accurate, and act as the connective tissue between Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, R&D, Engineering, and the shop floor. If you thrive on organizing complexity, spotting risks before they become problems, and keeping a dozen moving parts aligned, we'd love to hear from you.
Job Description
- Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory, and capacity.
- Translate customer delivery requirements into production schedules that keep orders on time.
- Generate, release, and prioritize production/work orders based on delivery needs, capacity, and material availability.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules on the fly when delays, breakdowns, shortages, or quality issues come up.
- Flag potential material shortages early and loop in the right teams before they become a problem.
- Own production order accuracy in the ERP system — item codes, quantities, routing, BOMs, and due dates.
- Track open, overdue, and completed orders, and keep stakeholders updated on fulfillment status.
- Partner with Sales/Customer Service on delivery commitments and changing requirements.
- Support R&D and Engineering on new product development, trial runs, samples, and production transfers.
- Join regular planning meetings and follow through on action items.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–3+ years of experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain in a manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on ERP experience (production orders, MRP, inventory, planning modules).
- Strong Excel skills — comfortable with data analysis, filtering, sorting, and formulas.
- Ability to read and work from customer orders, BOMs, routings, and delivery schedules.
- A responsible, organized, detail-oriented mindset — and the composure to juggle shifting priorities under pressure.
Why Join Us
You'll sit at the center of the production floor — the person everyone counts on to keep plans realistic, orders moving, and surprises to a minimum. It's a role with real visibility and real impact on how reliably we deliver for our customers.
