Senior Staff Nurse / Junior Nurse Manager – Geriatric Care
We are looking for experienced nursing professionals to join an established healthcare organisation in Singapore as it continues to strengthen and expand its care services.
This opportunity is suited for nurses with an interest or background in geriatric and senior care who are ready to take on broader clinical responsibilities and, depending on experience, develop further in nursing leadership.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary care environment where nursing goes beyond managing immediate clinical needs — supporting seniors' overall health,function, independence and quality of life.
The Role
You will provide and coordinate holistic nursing care for seniors with varying health, functional and care needs.
You will play an active role in clinical assessment, care planning and coordination, working alongside medical, allied health and care professionals to support continuity and quality of care.
Depending on your experience and level of appointment, you may also supervise and develop nursing and care staff, support day-to-day clinical operations and contribute to nursing standards and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess seniors' health and nursing needs and develop appropriate individualised care plans.
- Provide safe, effective and person-centred nursing care in accordance with established clinical standards.
- Monitor changes in seniors' health and functional conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Support the management of chronic conditions, medication needs and other nursing requirements.
- Work closely with medical, allied health, nursing and care teams to provide coordinated and holistic care.
- Engage and educate seniors and caregivers on health, care needs and appropriate care management.
- Coordinate care to support continuity across different stages of seniors' care journeys.
- Provide clinical guidance, supervision and mentorship to junior nurses and care staff.
- Support the development and implementation of nursing standards, clinical workflows and good care practices.
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety and service development initiatives.
- Support team capability-building through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and uphold professional nursing standards.
- For candidates appointed at Junior Nurse Manager level, take on broader responsibilities in team supervision, clinical oversight and day-to-day nursing operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Relevant nursing experience with a strong foundation in clinical care and patient management.
- Experience in geriatric, medical, rehabilitation, community or long-term care would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of the health and care needs associated with ageing, chronic conditions and functional decline.
- Strong clinical judgement and ability to coordinate care for patients with multiple and evolving needs.
- Experience guiding, mentoring or supervising junior nursing and care staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when engaging seniors, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Candidates with demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience may be considered for appointment at Junior Nurse Manager level.
