Student Care Teacher (Various Locations, North)

Job Summary

Deliver engaging and effective lesson content to primary school children (Primary 1 to 6), ensuring their academic progress and safety. Lead supervision during homework completion and coordinate timely, secure transfers between school and student centre. Collaborate proactively with parents and caregivers to communicate children’s progress and behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson content that facilitates children’s understanding and engagement in learning
• Supervise primary school children to ensure completion of daily homework, fostering academic discipline and support
• Manage safe and timely transfer of students from school to student centre, ensuring their well-being during transit
• Implement safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for all children under supervision
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to report on children’s academic progress and behavioural development

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a minimum diploma or WSQ Student-Care Certification as a professional standard for child care and education

• Demonstrate experience teaching primary school children to enhance instructional effectiveness
• Exhibit strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and caregivers
• Display creativity and problem-solving skills to adapt teaching methods and address challenges

• Maintain excellent work ethics and integrity in all professional interactions
• Positive attitude towards challenges to foster a supportive learning environment
• Experience working with children is preferred; however, candidates without experience may apply as training will be provided
