About this job

  • Prepare detailed civil and structural engineering drawings using relevant drafting software.
  • Produce plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, structural drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Assist engineers in developing drawings based on engineering calculations, sketches, specifications, and site requirements.
  • Revise and update drawings according to engineers' comments, site conditions, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate drawings with architectural, mechanical, electrical, piping, and other relevant disciplines.
  • Prepare drawings- construction drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings where required.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved designs, and relevant Singapore codes and standards.
  • Check dimensions, levels, materials, annotations, drawing scales, and other technical details for accuracy.
  • Conduct site visits when required to verify existing conditions and collect site measurements.
  • Maintain proper control and filing of drawings, revisions, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve drawing-related issues.
  • Assist in preparing drawing submissions for consultants, clients, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure all drawings are issued according to the required project schedule and revision procedures.
  • Perform other drafting and technical duties assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil and/or structural drafting.
  • Good understanding of civil and structural engineering drawings and construction practices.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of relevant Singapore standards and codes will be an advantage.
  • Good attention to detail with strong drawing accuracy and coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with engineers and site teams.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in industrial, process plant, structural steel, building, or civil construction projects will be an advantage.
  • Experience preparing fabrication drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Singapore construction plant practices and project documentation requirements is an added advantage.
