Clinical Optometrist

At The Straits Eye Centre, we believe everyone deserves access to professional and compassionate eye care. We’re looking for a dedicated Clinical Optometrist to be part of this meaningful mission.

Your Role:

• Conduct refraction and prescribe glasses to improve vision clarity
• Manage myopia and other refractive conditions
• Perform eye investigations using advanced ophthalmic equipment
• Maintain and calibrate clinical equipment for smooth day-to-day operations
• Carry out vision screenings and support outreach programmes in the community
• Provide warm, community-based customer service to patients
• Collaborate with doctors and the clinic team to ensure seamless, high-quality care

Who We’re Looking For:

• ✔ Diploma in Optometry (or equivalent)
• ✔ Registered with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) — pre-registered candidates are welcome
• ✔ Able to work independently and confidently in a community clinic setting
• ✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ✔ Passionate about delivering meaningful care to patients of all ages
