About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to manage and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site. The role will ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Job Scope
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, workers, and subcontractors.
Monitor construction progress and ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship, quality, and compliance with safety requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities on technical and site matters.
Identify drawing discrepancies, construction issues, and site constraints, and propose suitable engineering solutions.
Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and other required project documentation.
Review method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures before implementation.
Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and site resources to minimise wastage and support cost control.
Attend coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding technical, quality, and construction matters.
Ensure all site works comply with applicable regulations, company procedures, client requirements, and Workplace Safety and Health standards.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience in building, civil, infrastructure, or general construction projects.
Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, site operations, and engineering practices.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Familiar with applicable building regulations, quality requirements, and construction-site safety practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently, manage site priorities, and meet project deadlines.
