Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous, responsible and hands on Accounts Executive to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions for our import and export company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day to day accounting operations, ensuring timely month end closing and statutory submissions, payroll and supporting management with financial reporting and analysis.

This role is suitable for someone who is experienced and comfortable handling a full set of accounts independently and taking ownership of the company's accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities

Full Set of Accounts

  • Handle the full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Manage day to day accounting transactions and ensure that all entries are accurately and promptly recorded.
  • Perform monthly and year end closing activities, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up where necessary.

Cash Flow & Banking

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor daily banking transactions.
  • Monitor the company's cash position and cash flow requirements.
  • Prepare and process payments to suppliers and other parties.
  • Assist in cash flow planning and forecasting.

GST, Audit & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IRAS requirements and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Prepare schedules and supporting documents for annual audit and tax matters.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks and other relevant parties when required.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and filing of statutory and accounting records.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or in a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Able to independently manage a full set of accounts is essential
  • Good working knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations and IRAS requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable working with accounting software and systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organised and able to manage deadlines independently.
  • Responsible, dependable and willing to take ownership of assigned work.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as a team player

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm
