With their ongoing transformation to further strengthen their group level functions, there is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on this newly created role as a Group Head of Tax.

about the job

Reporting to the Group CFO, you will pioneer the set up of their dedicated tax function for their business, including advisory, compliance and operations. You will introduce the end to end framework and policies to minimize tax risks, optimize opportunities and keeping abreast to the latest developments on tax legislations. You will be the subject matter expert in providing tax advice on business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing and cross border transactions. Managing the external tax consultants, you will ensure that the business units comply with the Group’s global policy and statutory tax laws.

skills and experience required

You should ideally be degree qualified with at least 10 years of tax advisory experience gained from a multinational, ideally from maritime or logistics industries, with some prior years gained from the Big 4. You possess good regional tax advisory experience, comfortable being hands on with compliance and a self-driver to work independently in a start-up like environment. A strong communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
