Safety Officer cum Environment Control Officer (ECO)

Our client is seeking a Safety cum Environmental Officer to manage workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance across construction project sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement HSE systems and manage safety and environmental risks across construction project sites.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, awareness sessions, campaigns, and HSE initiatives.
• Lead site safety personnel and coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, clients, main contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, safety walks, and environmental assessments.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions from inspections, audits, incidents, near misses, and environmental findings.
• Advise project teams on WSH, environmental regulations, and HSE policies.
• Maintain and submit HSE and environmental documentation, including reports and regulatory records.
• Support accident investigation, reporting, and follow-up actions.
• Perform other HSE duties assigned by the immediate superior or management.

Requirements

• WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health, or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or related discipline.
• Valid WSHO and Environmental Control Officer certifications, with relevant registration where required.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Experience in building, civil engineering, infrastructure, or HDB projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of Singapore WSH and NEA environmental regulations, environmental management requirements, and construction site practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with ability to analyse HSE data and prepare reports.
• Strong safety leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence.
• Comfortable working outdoors and spending time on construction sites.

Work Day/Hour: 08.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday; 08.30am to 12.30pm, alternate Saturdays
