Due to business expansion, we are now seeking experienced and responsible Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to join our team and grow with the company.
Work Location: TUAS (Company provides shuttle bus service)
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and overseeing workplace safety and health measures, conducting site inspections and risk assessments, investigating accidents and incidents, providing safety advice and training, ensuring compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and MOM requirements, and exercising the authority to stop unsafe work practices when necessary.
• Conduct and monitor RAs.
• Propose and implement EHS Plan.
• Ensure that the provisions of the WSHA, Construction Regulations and any other related legislation therewith are adhered to, and to implement and promote the safety program.
• Acts as a secretary of the Site Environmental, Safety and Health Committee.
• Organize safety, health and environmental inspections or patrols and take remedial actions if necessary.
• Report and investigate injuries, damage and losses incurred.
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions to eliminate non-conformities to an acceptable tolerance
• Compile EHS records and liaise with relevant authorities on EHS matters.
• Ensure the employees and sub-contractors follow the environment, health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure EHS promotional activities are carried out at site.
• Conduct WSH committee meeting.
• Conduct environmental inspection and recommend rectification for environmental lapses.
Job Requirement
Minimum 5 years of experience as a WSH Officer within the construction industry
Possession of a relevant WSH-related certification and registration.
Strong understanding of WSH regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to the construction industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage with employees at all levels
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Willingness to work on-site and adapt to the dynamic nature of construction projects
Fluent in both English and Chinese
