We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our Marketing and Business Development team. In this role, you will collaborate with fee earners to drive strategic business development initiatives and enhance the firm's market presence.
Business Development and Marketing Executive
Key responsibilities:
- Proposal and Pitch Development: Partner with fee earners to create compelling RFPs, presentations, proposals, and pitches that align with client needs and showcase the firm's expertise.
- Directory and Award Submissions: Support the preparation and submission of rankings, awards, surveys, league tables, and other recognitions for assigned practice groups, ensuring accuracy and alignment with firm objectives.
- Content Management: Draft and edit practice/industry group descriptions, lawyer biographies, brochures, and client presentations, maintaining consistency and high-quality standards.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee the firm's business development infrastructure, including written collateral, experience databases, matter lists, contact lists, and opportunity tracking systems, ensuring all materials are accurate and up to date.
- Website Updates: Update practice and industry information on the firm's website, coordinating occasional external republication to enhance visibility.
- Special Projects: Work on ad-hoc projects as requested by department management and lawyers, contributing to strategic initiatives and firm-wide objectives.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in business, marketing, communications, or a related field – or equivalent practical experience in a comparable role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as the role involves drafting proposals, biographies, and client-facing collateral.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing tools, which are used to produce presentations and marketing materials.
- Sound organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple submissions and projects.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, given the role's responsibility for error-free databases, matter lists, and published content.
- Experience in business development or marketing within a legal or professional services environment is advantageous but not required.
