Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with domestic and overseas design institutes to review construction drawings for complete electrical systems, including 10kV/35kV high-voltage systems, 0.4kV low-voltage distribution systems, UPS systems, diesel generator sets, and more. Based on international standards such as TIA942, Uptime Tier, and IEC, perform detailed refinement and optimization of the drawings and conduct precise load calculations.
• Independently prepare technical specifications for core electrical equipment such as high- and low-voltage switchgear, dry-type transformers, UPS systems, and diesel generator sets, and then travel to the equipment manufacturers to complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Based at the project site in Indonesia, provide full-process oversight of electrical construction quality, construction schedule, and site safety; conduct construction technical briefings and acceptance of concealed works; and coordinate all electrical testing activities, including cable withstand voltage tests, insulation resistance tests, ground resistance measurements, and system interlock commissioning.
• Liaise with local authorities in Indonesia, including the power supply bureau, housing and urban-rural development authority, fire department, and power regulatory agency, to complete tasks such as external line installation application, acceptance of the distribution system, approval for power delivery, and obtaining compliance certifications.
• Responsible for preparing bilingual (Chinese and English) as-built drawings, equipment ledgers, test reports, and the complete set of as-built documentation; completed the drafting of initial versions of MOP, SOP, and EOP; and successfully handed over the documentation to the operations and maintenance team.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant electrical field, such as Electrical Engineering and Automation, Power Systems, or Power Supply and Utilization Technology.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in the full lifecycle construction of data centers, with independent responsibility for electrical engineering tasks in large-scale IDC projects featuring IT power of 10 MW or more. Proficient in Uptime Tier and TIA942 international industry standards.
• Proficient in 10kV high-voltage switchgear, dry-type transformers, UPS systems, diesel generator parallel operation systems, and ATS/SUS transfer systems. Working principles, installation and commissioning, and fault diagnosis of comprehensive electrical systems, including precision power distribution and grounding/lightning protection.
• Proficient in using specialized software tools such as CAD, ETAP power simulation, and DCIM data center monitoring systems; able to skillfully read electrical drawings in both Chinese and English.
• Willing to take up a long-term, on-site position in Indonesia, with cross-cultural communication skills and local team management capabilities. English is acceptable as the working language; proficiency in Indonesian is preferred.
