Safety Coordinator

1. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant regulations and codes of practice, including guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements

• Monitor adherence to company safety policies and statutory requirements

2. Risk Assessment & Control

• Conduct and review risk assessments for activities

• Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures

• Ensure safe work procedures are established and followed

3. Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise works on-site to ensure safety compliance

• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and workers on electrical safety matters

• Ensure only qualified and licensed personnel perform electrical work

6. Incident Investigation & Reporting

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses

• Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions

7. Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions on safety

• Promote a strong safety culture among all site personnel

8. Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, risk assessments, and incidents

• Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities as required

Requirements & Qualifications

• MOM-registered WSH Coordinator certification is mandatory

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical works, preferably in construction or industrial settings

• Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
