STAFF NURSE (TAMAN JURONG)

St Andrew's Nursing Home (Taman Jurong)

An established 290-bed facility at Taman Jurong, we seek to provide long-term support, care and rehabilitation to the under-served and disadvantaged of the community at large, regardless of race or religion.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with the resident’s doctor and multi-disciplinary team to provide care to the residents; updates on changes in the residents’ condition and needs.
• Ensure care delivery and nursing interventions as outlined in the care plan.
• Work with allied health professionals and/or initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
• Carry out and supervise assessments of all new admissions.
• Prepare clinical documentation and ensure all documentations are current.
• Prepare and administer medications to residents and comply with safe medication practices.
• Supervise staff to ensure safe medication practice.
• Participate in training and development of staff.
• Work with Supervisor to conduct quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
• Deal with emergency that arises and ensure prompt actions to mitigate the situation. Escalate promptly to supervisor, where necessary.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
• Ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point and other Healthcare system
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork and passion for serving the elderly patients.
• Able to work cohesively with colleagues from all disciplines
• Able to work 3 rotating shifts including weekend duties and public holidays (for in-patient wards)

PROFESSIONAL LICENCE

• Must be Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified
