Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing the day-to-day accounting functions, including:
- Handling day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and related accounting activities
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial reports and accounting schedules in a timely and accurate manner
- Performing account reconciliations and investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Monitoring receivables and payables, including follow-up on outstanding balances and ensuring timely processing of transactions
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial analysis as required
- Ensuring proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assisting with audit, tax and other statutory or regulatory tasks when required
- Supporting the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
- Liaising with internal departments, auditors, tax agents and other external parties on accounting and finance-related matters
- Assisting with finance and accounting projects, system enhancements and other ad-hoc assignments as designated by the Head of Finance
Role Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; ACCA or equivalent professional qualification will be an advantage
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience for Senior Accounts Executive; candidates with less experience may be considered for the Accounts Executive position
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems will be an advantage
- Knowledge of SQL and database structures is desirable
