AP/AR Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented AP/AR Assistant to support finance operations by processing transactions accurately, maintaining records, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely payments and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately to support financial operations
- Prepare and issue invoices, debit notes, and payment vouchers to facilitate billing and collections
- Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances to maintain cash flow
- Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records for audit readiness
- Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly closing activities to support financial reporting
- Organize and maintain proper filing of financial documents for easy retrieval and compliance
- Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and customers on finance-related matters to resolve issues promptly
- Support the finance team with administrative duties as assigned to enhance operational efficiency
Required competencies and certifications
- ACCA, CPA, or equivalent relevant accounting certification
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling accounts payable/accounts receivable accounting
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for financial processing and analysis
- Valid work authorization in Singapore without visa sponsorship, ensuring compliance with local accounting practices and regulations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with accounting software to improve transaction processing efficiency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to communicate in Chinese (spoken and written) to liaise with Chinese-speaking overseas stakeholders and business partners in a multinational environment
