The successful candidate will lead and manage the M&E works on site, with primary responsibility for the Electrical scope. You will work closely with internal project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure the successful delivery of the project in accordance with programme, quality, safety and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall M&E construction activities for Data Centre projects.
- Take primary responsibility for the Electrical scope, including coordination, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Oversee major electrical systems, including HV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, busduct and other critical power infrastructure.
- Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Architectural, Structural and specialist teams to ensure proper integration of all services.
- Review design drawings, technical submissions, shop drawings and construction methodologies.
- Identify and resolve design clashes, site coordination issues and potential programme risks.
- Manage and coordinate M&E subcontractors, specialist contractors and suppliers.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved project programme.
- Ensure all M&E works meet project specifications, quality standards, authority requirements and safety regulations.
- Lead M&E coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning and system handover activities.
- Support procurement, planning and sequencing of M&E works to meet project milestones.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to M&E engineers and site teams.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant M&E construction experience, preferably with a experience in data centre projects
- Experience managing M&E works for Data Centre, Mission Critical projects.
- HV/LV electrical distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators and emergency power systems.
- Experience managing multiple M&E subcontractors and specialist work packages.
- Good understanding of testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and project handover.
