Traditional Beverage Maker / Server (NEX)

About the Role

Chin Mee Chin Bakery, a beloved heritage brand, has recently opened its second outlet at NEX. We are looking for a Traditional Beverage Maker / Server to prepare and serve our signature kopi and teh using traditional Singaporean brewing methods, while delivering warm, attentive service to our guests. This role is central to preserving the authentic taste and experience that Chin Mee Chin is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare traditional local beverages, including kopi and teh in their various forms (such as kopi-o, kopi-c, teh tarik, teh-o, and other traditional variations), following our specific brewing and preparation methods to ensure consistency and authenticity. Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and attentive manner. Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the beverage preparation area, equipment, and utensils. Manage stock levels of beverage ingredients (coffee powder, tea leaves, condensed milk, etc.) and inform management of replenishment needs. Ensure all beverages are prepared according to hygiene and food safety standards. Assist with general front-of-house duties, including clearing tables, restocking service areas, and supporting the wider team during peak hours. Provide friendly and helpful service to guests, embodying the heritage and hospitality that Chin Mee Chin represents. Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

Prior experience as a traditional beverage maker (kopi/teh) or in a similar F&B service role is preferred, though training will be provided for the right candidate. A genuine interest in and appreciation for traditional Singaporean coffee and tea culture. Good interpersonal skills and a friendly, service-oriented attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak hours. Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Basic food hygiene certification is an advantage, or willingness to obtain one.
